Ottawa based AGS Software Inc announced the release of Wireless Merchant, software that empowers businesses to process on-the-fly credit card transactions mobility by using smartphones such as the Blackberry. Until now mobile credit card processing has been a security nightmare but Wireless Merchant uses RIM security and 192-bit AES added encryption making the Blackberry the most secure smartphone on the market today.

Having spent more than 10 years developing point of sale software Marc Cashman President and Founder of AGS Software Inc. recognized that today's smartphones can be used beyond emailing and contact management and knew the smartphone one day would have a place in the POS industry. Following his idea of Sell Anywhere Cashman and his development team brought together their software skills and the technologies of Tender Retail and Infinite Peripherals to develop Wireless Merchant the most secure and easy to use mobile credit card processing solution.

Wireless Merchant is comprised of the RIM security, with added 192-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standards) and is integrated with Tender Retail's Multi Connect, the POS bridge from the Blackberry to the Financial Institutions for secure credit card authorization. Additionally Wireless Merchant has combined the advantage of Infinite Peripherals PP-55 Swipe/Thermal Printer providing accurate credit card transmission and just as importantly, receipts for both the merchant and customer.

"We are excited about working with AGS Software and their Wireless Merchant application that now can provide just about any merchant on-the-fly credit card transaction," says Sachi Morris, Tender Retail Director of Business Development. Tender Retail is Canada's largest payment software systems company and holds more than a 70% share for POS Software credit/debit card processing.
